Les Serres Robert Plante Greenhouses was started in 1981 by Robert and Line Plante. Line had a passion for growing plants, fruits and vegetables and Robert had a passion for business and finance. Between their two passions, they took the path of entrepreneurship and started a small greenhouse.


When they first started the business, they were selling plants and flowers at the Ottawa Byward Market. This continued for many years, and they eventually opened another location for selling in Orléans in collaboration with the local Metro store on Tenth Line Road.


In 2001, the Plante family decided to open their doors to the citizens of Ottawa. Their greenhouse quickly became an ideal location for Ottawans to purchase their baskets, planters, indoor tropical plants, and succulents as it became a year-round greenhouse.


Starting their own business kept the Plante family busy. But with countless hours of hard work, dedication and the willingness to make it work they have become a very busy one-stop shop for your gardening needs and wants.


In 2021, they made big changes and built a state-of-the-art 30,000 square foot greenhouse on their property. This huge addition to the property allowed them to increase their production and have more publicly available space for shopping needs.


Passion and love for their work has made this family owned business successful. They pride themselves on keeping customer service and customer satisfaction as a top priority in their day-to-day operations and trying to anticipate what their guests' needs and wants are to make their next visit equally as enjoyable as the previous one.


They are proud to be a business that provides a vast variety of products ranging from annuals to perennials, shrubs and trees, tropical and house plants, succulents & cacti, garden tools and ornaments, water fountains, soil, supplies and much more. Moreover, their horticultural experts offer a variety of services including custom arrangements, delivery and planting.

  Hydrogreen Irrigation Inc. was started back in 2008 by Brandon Happeney. They offer irrigation services for residential, commercial and sports fields. They are located in and around Barrie, Ontario, but travel into the GTA for jobs as well. Brandon and a friend started their irrigation business when they were eighteen/nineteen on the side while they were working for another irrigation business. They were using the equipment from their full-time job, but were also compensating their boss completely for the use of equipment. When Sara and Shanna were both diagnosed with breast cancer during the pandemic, they were thrust into one of life’s most difficult challenges at a young age—and in isolation.
