No.7 Hot Sauce

No.7 Hot Sauce was started in 2013 by husband and wife team Carlos & Sandra Flores. This was not the first business they had started, however, it was started inside of their first business.

Carlos and Sandra are also the owners of Cafe Con Leche - a coffee shop located in the Junction Triangle in Toronto. They started bottling their hot sauce during quiet moments, after hours and everything in between. While also running their coffee shop. They stored their bottles under cafe benches as well as in the basement of the coffee shop.

Eventually, word got around and they got asked to be part of tradeshows, do in-store demos and be part of festivals. This progressed to fall fairs and the CNE as well! All the buzz sparked tons of interest in their product. So much so that they can now be found in independent shops, restaurants as well as online.

In addition to their success, they work with Quesada Burritos & Tacos - a Canadian chain. They supply their products to them through Gordon Food.

No.7 Hot Sauces (also known as “salsas”) are vegan, gluten-free, all natural and contain no added salt or sugar.

Their journey has had its ups and downs, but Carlos and Sandra have powered through it and have been successful due to their determination. Part of their journey got them in as tenants in the “Ubisoft” building in Toronto, but they were eventually forced out along with all other tenants in that building as Ubisoft grew into the entire building. With this challenge, came plans and goal setting. In the winter of 2019, they moved into a 900 square foot industrial space to continue their very much hands-on production. The next challenge they faced was one that we are all very familiar with, being COVID-19. They worked tirelessly running both businesses practically on their own. They hunkered down and got through it and have recently as of February moved into a 2,400 square foot manufacturing facility with a brand new bottling line right in Toronto!

They are happy to be blending a Mexican tradition right here in Canada. I would encourage you to check out their product line! Also, join me in congratulating them on 10 years in business as No.7 Hot Sauce!!

Congratulations!!
