Mapleview Plumbing

 



Mapleview Plumbing was started back in 2021 by Phil La Penna and Mike Del Signore. They specialize mostly in residential plumbing, but also work on some commercial and high rise projects too.

Prior to starting Mapleview Plumbing, Phil and Mike both owned businesses. Mike owned a landscaping company, while Phil had a plumbing company. Phil had gotten into plumbing through his cousin. His cousin had started up his own company and was looking for help - Phil gave it a try and enjoyed it. So much so that he eventually started PML Plumbing. Fast forward a little bit and Mike and him decided to start their own company together.

The name Mapleview actually came from Mike’s landscaping business, it was the name of the business. They decided it was pretty generic and that it would make a good name for their plumbing business

They both thought that their business would be more of a side job, a way to make a little more money. They would work during the day and work on side jobs at night until sometimes 9pm or later. Eventually, the amount of side jobs kept piling up to the point where they realized that they needed to take this on full-time.

Taking it on full-time has been a roller coaster for Mike and Phil and they have definitely had quite the learning curve. Some areas that Phil said they had to learn were operating costs, taxes, time management and separating work from home.

They have enjoyed the ride thus far, and love when they get the opportunity to see their clients happy with the finished product. They said their favourite thing to work on is new builds!

  Hydrogreen Irrigation Inc. was started back in 2008 by Brandon Happeney. They offer irrigation services for residential, commercial and sports fields. They are located in and around Barrie, Ontario, but travel into the GTA for jobs as well. Brandon and a friend started their irrigation business when they were eighteen/nineteen on the side while they were working for another irrigation business. They were using the equipment from their full-time job, but were also compensating their boss completely for the use of equipment.
