Evolve Consulting Co., founded in 2019, serves as the core of Cindy's entrepreneurial journey. As a seasoned multi-hyphenate entrepreneur, she initially began helping companies build structure, enhance sales, and develop marketing strategies to propel growth. But when her client asked her to help grow their business, she didn’t just see it as an opportunity—it sparked the birth of her business.

Interestingly, the name Evolve Consulting Co. came about spontaneously. "I didn’t have a business name or any formal plans at the time, so on a whim, I named it ‘Evolve,’ knowing that my services and offerings would evolve as I went along," she shares with a laugh. What began as a side hustle alongside her corporate job, turned into a full-time entrepreneurial venture in 2024.

Evolve’s focus is now on recruitment, a sector Cindy believes is critical for small businesses to scale. "Every entrepreneur wants flexibility, but it’s hard to achieve when you’re managing everything. I help entrepreneurs step back, build their team, and grow their business," she explains. She’s found a powerful niche within recruitment because it’s a direct and effective way to help businesses grow.

Although she has built a successful career as a corporate leader, entrepreneurship was never part of Cindy's original plan. "My plan was always to be in a stable leadership role with a full-time job and benefits," she admits. But with the arrival of her daughter and a growing desire to be more present for her family, the entrepreneurial call became undeniable.

As a mother and entrepreneur, Cindy found herself facing the challenge of balancing her family life and her career. "Entrepreneurship allowed me to create my own path and to help other parents who wanted to contribute financially but also have time for their families. That’s what inspired Dabbl’—to connect parents who have left corporate life but still want to be involved in part-time work."

Starting Evolve Consulting Co. came with its own set of challenges. Cindy recalls, "I didn’t know how to register my business, set up a bank account, or build an online presence. It was a steep learning curve." She credits the availability of resources today to help entrepreneurs navigate those early hurdles, and she’s committed to empowering others on their entrepreneurial journey.

“The journey is not a straight line,” she advises. "You’ll face highs and lows, but it’s all part of the process. Stay focused on your service offering, keep it simple, and be patient as it grows."

For Cindy, the excitement of entrepreneurship has been worth the hard work. "It’s something I built, and it’s mine. Even on long nights, I’m filled with excitement and energy because I’m living my vision. I work all the time and love it—even if my body disagrees sometimes!"

The next phase of Cindy's entrepreneurial journey is Dabbl’, a community and network for parents—particularly those who have left corporate careers to focus on parenting but still want to contribute through part-time work. "Within 24 hours of launching Dabbl’, we had over 100 members," she shares. "Now, just two weeks in, we’re approaching 200 members. The response has been overwhelming, and I can’t wait to see how it unfolds."

Dabbl’ is poised to change how we think about work, offering flexibility to parents while also helping small businesses fill fractional positions to drive growth without committing to full-time hires. "I’m in the proof-of-concept phase right now, but the excitement and engagement from the community tell me this is something people need."

As Cindy continues to build her businesses, she’s also paving the way for others. "If you have a dream, if you want to start your own business, take that leap. It’s not always easy, but it’s so worth it," she encourages aspiring entrepreneurs. "I’m here to help other people grow their businesses—whether it’s through recruitment or creating a community like Dabbl’. I want to help people find the same autonomy and flexibility I’ve found."
